NUCCA Chiropractor | Dr. Christa Stanchuk

NUCCA chiropractic has been an intricate part of my life since I was 7 years old. My mother chose to change out of the medical profession as a Respiratory Therapist, and go back to school to learn the philosophy, science, and art of Chiropractic when my brother’s asthma disappeared after a NUCCA correction. Although my brother’s asthma was the most drastic of events, the other members of my family who underwent NUCCA care also received tremendous health gains. My grandmother had improvements in her Restless Legs Syndrome and Trigeminal Neuralgia. My mother noticed a great improvement in her digestive health. My father, a long term sufferer from low back pain, experienced long term relief for the first time in years and was able to avoid surgery for a blown disc.

As for myself, the first time I received a NUCCA correction, I was able to experience life without headaches. I didn’t know I was suffering from a chronic condition that may have developed into more severe headaches or even migraines later down the road. After being under NUCCA care, I experienced being pain free for the first time in my young life.

Despite the many career choices I looked into in college, nothing seemed as fulfilling as becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. I chose to major in Kinesiology to provide a strong health background before starting chiropractic school. In 2008, I graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, IA with my Bachelor of Science Degree. I then went on to the prestigious and first chiropractic school, Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. In 2012, I received my Doctor of Chiropractic. NUCCA gave my family their health back, and provided me with an opportunity to join a profession I love. I have found great reward in working with the difficult and non-traditional cases that this technique brings to me. I love to see the hope return to a patient, and to watch as they become empowered to be well.
