“I admit it, I had no idea what chiropractic was.”
After recovering from a sports injury known as spondylolysis, which is a fracture of the spinal vertebrae, I found myself with ongoing lower back pain at an unusually young age. I had tried many rounds of different therapies, yet my pain always returned. As my search for pain relief continued, a college professor gave our class a healthcare-oriented job shadowing assignment. I chose to shadow a chiropractor to learn more about the lower spine and soft tissue. What amazed me about this small-town clinic was simple, the adjustments took my pain away and all the patients coming in and out of the office were smiling. Never before had I been to a doctor’s office where the patient actually left smiling. Until then I had no idea what chiropractic was, I admit, but chiropractic actually found me that day, and ever since then my life has transformed into something I could never have imagined.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Iowa, where I continued to play collegiate baseball and pursue many outdoor hobbies. After graduation, I attended the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, which is known as the birthplace and cornerstone of chiropractic. I graduated in 2011 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic and physio-therapy. Before opening our clinic in Missoula, my wife and I were able to spend almost 3 months aboard performing medical service work in India and Honduras.
“Structure affects Function”
Over my 13+ years of being a chiropractor I have adjusted tens of thousands of bodies and have seen the power of ‘manual medicine’. Our practice takes a whole-body approach in which we analyze the structure of the skeleton, tension of surrounding muscles, nerve pathways and see how it all affects the function of the body.
When not in the clinic my family and I enjoy outdoor recreation such as camping, rafting, and elk hunting. Raising four children keeps us very busy, but there is no place better than the Big Sky State!

Dr. Dede Hayworth
I was born and raised in Leawood, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City. After graduating from high school, I attended Oklahoma State where I majored in Physiology. During my time as a Cowboy, I was on the running team and a member of the Pi Phi sorority. I attended Cleveland Chiropractic College in Overland Park, Kansas, and following graduation, worked as a chiropractor in Arvada, CO. In 2023, I moved to Missoula to join Tall Pines Chiropractic. In my free time, I love to hike and explore everything Montana has to offer alongside my dog, Earl!
I’ve always been active and health- oriented, so I considered pursuing a career in the medical field early in my life, but it wasn’t until I started shadowing both medical and chiropractic care providers that I realized holistic chiropractic care was my calling. I was excited about the ability to help my patients out of pain, and appreciated that chiropractic patients show up because they care about improving their overall health.
At Tall Pines Chiropractic, I have the opportunity to provide custom patient visits with comprehensive care tailored to each patient. I am certified and educated in numerous cutting-edge techniques, including dry needling, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), functional soft tissue taping, cupping, and flexion distraction techniques.
